Inmates Find New Life in Christ

Three Inmates at Her Majesty's Prison are Baptized

On April 20, 2024, Dr. Devron Thomas, Pastor of Antioch Seventh-day Adventist Church, had the privilege of administering baptism to three inmates incarcerated at Her Majesty’s Prison in Grand Turk, Turks and Caicos Islands.

The individuals, Woodly Victorian, Alexis Georges, and Jacqueline Pierre, made a public commitment to Jesus Christ, thus affirming their newfound faith in Him. These three candidates have discovered hope and significance in their spiritual rebirth despite their current situation. They have been participating actively m Bible studies and worship services within the prison confines.

Dr. Thomas expressed his profound joy and gratitude for the opportunity to witness the transformation of these candidates. He firmly believes that their baptism is a powerful testimony to the transformative power of God’s love and grace. Pastor Steve Cornwall, President of the Turks and Caicos Islands Conference, guided the candidates in accepting their vows, infusing the occasion with a deep sense of holiness and reverence.

The Antioch SDA Church is committed to bringing hope and healing to those who are incarcerated. Through their ministry, they aim to help inmates find a sense of purpose and direction, as well as a deeper understanding of God’s love and forgiveness, thereby transforming lives within the prison walls.
