Dr. Roy Dennis visits Turks and Caicos for Family Togetherness Week

Pastor Roy Dennis, Family Life Ministries and Counseling Services Director of the Central Jamaica Conference visited the Turks and Caicos Islands Conference from September 6-15, 2019 as the conference celebrated Family Togetherness Week.

 During his visit, the wealth of information presented showed that he was adequately prepared academically in the area of family life. Pastor Dennis holds a Master of Science Degree in Counseling/Psychology with an emphasis in Family Therapy from Northern Caribbean University and a Doctor of Ministry degree from Columbia Theological Seminary.

During his visit to the Turks and Caicos, Dr. Dennis conducted a Family Ministries Bible Seminar entitled “Issues in the Home.” The seminar was conducted on Grand Turk, North Caicos and Providenciales. The members were edified by the information that was presented and they were pleased that the Conference saw it fit to allow the majority of the membership to benefit from Dr. Dennis’ expertise.

 

The pastors in the conference along with the workers of Maranatha Academy also benefitted from Dr. Dennis’ wealth of knowledge. On Sunday September 8, a professional development seminar was held for workers at the conference office. Dr. Dennis presented on the subjects of managing stress in the workplace and how to deal with conflict at the workplace.

 

Pastor Dennis1 also provided counseling to members and community individuals throughout the week.
