ADRA TCI Builds Ramp and Rails for Lady in Blue Hills

The Adventist Development and Relief Agency in the Turks and Caicos (ADRATCI) has a heart for the ‘least of these’. After they became aware of the plight of Sharmine Ewing, a member of the Blue Hills Seventh-day Adventist Church, they decided that their summer project for 2019 would be to construct a ramp with accompanying rails. This was aimed at easing the burdens that she faces when she enters or leaves her home.

Several volunteers worked on the site and they were assisted by some skilled labour. This included a contractor who volunteered both his time and expertise in order to facilitate the completion of ramp and rails of superior quality.

The project was made possible through funding provided by the volunteers that worked on the job and the generosity of other donors. In the words of Miss Ewing, “Words cannot describe how I am feeling now. I am so happy that my church thought to assist me with this ramp. I have already started using it. I walked up and down this morning. This will make my life so much easier!”
God has mandated us to impact the lives of others. Let us seek to impact the lives of others as we spread the love of Jesus in practical ways.
