It is the aim of the Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) in the Turks and Caicos Islands to provide a network of volunteers in an effort to protect the needy and unfortunate within these islands. With the combined resources of the conference and country’s Disaster Management Team, it is the plan to create and establish educational and awareness programs on all the islands. ADRA also aims to protect the rights of children and women from abuse, child labor and prostitution in the Turks and Caicos Islands and the world at large.
ADRA’s OBJECTIVES
- To awaken concern for the very poor, the sick and the victims of natural and man-made disaster.
- To be equipped to meet emergency needs and provide long-term solutions.
- To provide training resources and support to ADRA volunteers, leaders and workers.
- To partner with other organizations which work towards the restoration of human dignity through development and relief.
- To communicate Christian values without using them as criteria for giving aid.
