A Church Pioneer has Passed

The Turks and Caicos Islands Conference of Seventh-day Adventists is saddened by the passing of Honorable Hilly Ewing on May 26, 2020. Hon. Ewing was a dedicated member of the Blue Hills Seventh-day Adventist Church and was one of the pioneers of Adventism in the Turks and Caicos Islands.

He served as a church Elder and Stewardship Director of his local congregation. He also served as a member of the then Mission Executive Committee for many years and was instrumental in the construction of the present building of the Blue Hills SDA Church and the acquisition of several properties for the Seventh-day Adventist Conference in the country.

Elder Hilly Ewing also played an active role in nation building. He served his country as a politician and a servant of the people. At the height of his political career, he rose to the office of Deputy Chief Minister.

The Seventh-day Adventist Church in the Turks and Caicos Islands wishes to express our sincere condolences to the family of Elder Hilly and we look forward to meeting him when the Lord returns to take His children home.
